The LA TRI CLUB presents the 3rd Annual Coast 2 Coast Swim Challenge, a one-of-a-kind aquatic fundraiser with 100% of funds raised providing FREE swim lessons for under-served kids in LA.
Did you know that drowning surpasses all other causes of death among children ages 14 and under in California, while LA County has the highest rate of near-drowning of any county in the state? The Coast 2 Coast Swim Challenge was created to heighten awareness of these facts and combat this problem locally.
Whether you swim slow or fast, for one lap or a hundred, you’ll have fun while making a difference! See registration page for complete details.

The 2012 event was a big success on multiple levels, most notably a 20% increase in donations over last year. We watched in awe as 22 new swimmers from Bethune Middle School - who learned how to swim thanks to the inaugural event - collectively swam 17 MILES, clearly demonstrating the impact this event makes! TO DATE we've made 1,450 LA kids water-safe!
We also created great memories - 4-time Olympic Gold medalist Lenny Krayzelburg coaching the kids, ESPN’s John Brenkus sharing words of wisdom with our swim lesson recipients and ultra-distance swimmer Stanley Leventhal's feat of replicating the distance of a Catalina crossing (20+ miles!)

Culver City Municipal Pool 4175 Overland Ave. Culver City Calf. 90230. This is one of the best facilities in California for this type of event.
Please respect Culver City Residents and park in their parking lot instead of local streets. There's FREE parking (over 300 spots) to provide easy access for the event.
